Nocturnal and Mad Scientists Present: Dr. Rubinstein (DE)

The last time techno and electro maven Dr. Rubinstein played in the United States, she sold out her entire tour. We're honored to bring her to Denver for the first time, in a dusty afterhours venue in the heart of Denver featuring crisp, dialed-in Funktion One sound.

About Dr. Rubenstein:

Marina Rubinstein is passionate about DJing. Even when she's in the DJ booth, skillfully mixing hypnotic acid, '90s rave, and pumping techno, her thoughts remain fixed on the dancefloor. This Russian-born, Israeli-raised artist discovered her love for techno on the dancefloor long before she started DJing and adopted the name Dr. Rubinstein. In Tel Aviv, she was a self-proclaimed "true raver," and during those late-night parties, she came to view dancing as a form of meditation. According to her, "When the music is right, you can free your mind and just dance without thinking of anything. For me, it's the best feeling in life, something that brings absolute happiness."

This "special feeling" she describes is a constant pursuit, not just for herself but also for those who come to witness her performances. Her unceasingly cheerful personality contributes to this effort, but it's her adventurous spirit, coupled with her unapologetic passion for all things acid, that truly distinguishes her as a DJ. While now based in Berlin, she has become a regular at venues like ://about blank and Berghain, and her talents have increasingly led her to spin alongside a diverse array of techno luminaries across Europe and around the world.
